What's new on the platform

We improve the Greenspace platform every day by releasing new features and implementing customer feedback. Here's an account of recent improvements and changes to the platform.

2024

  • July 2024: MBC 2.0: Insights
    • This new feature provides clinicians and admins with a condensed snapshot of key data-driven insights for each client right at the top of the client’s results display. The snapshot includes each client’s current status, including reliable change, deterioration trends, off-track outcomes, or low therapeutic alliance. With Insights, clinicians can quickly review important results information, helping them drive better care discussions and decisions.
  • June 2024: In-product feedback
    • We launched the ability to share in-product feedback for new features, allowing clinicians and admins to share feedback with us rapidly so we can further enhance our offering. Keep an eye out for this on Insights, new dashboards, and many more new features to come!
  • June 2024: Analytics: New Assessment Results and Enhanced Clinical Outcomes Dashboards
    • The new Assessment Results dashboard & enhanced Clinical Outcomes dashboard have been added for all clinics and organizations.
    • The Assessment Results dashboard allows users to look up assessment-specific results and stats. This dashboard is filterable by assessment and will only return stats on that assessment. For example, in seconds, you can look up the # of assessments completed, reliable change rate, and symptom severity change for PCL-5.
    • The Clinical Outcomes dashboard provides a high-level overview of your organization's outcomes. It is helpful when taking a bird' s-eye view of your clinical outcomes for reporting or funding purposes. By presenting key outcome stats in a clear and accessible manner, the dashboard helps evaluate the effectiveness of treatment and fosters continuous improvement in patient care.
    • Note: The historic Clinical Outcomes has been renamed “Clinical Outcomes—Legacy,” which will be available for reference until late 2024.
  • June 2024: Analytics: Notes Dashboard
    • The Notes Dashboard, which helps your team manage notes effectively across your organization and gain insights into treatment trends based on note information, is now available. To enable this dashboard, please contact support@greenspacehealth.com or your Customer Success Manager.
  • June 2024: Analytics: Reliable Change Indices and Caseness Threshold Improvements
    • Reliable Change and Caseness are terms used widely throughout the new dashboards, and we wanted to be very transparent about what these values are and where they come from. We have updated our Help Centre article on Reliable Change and Caseness to list the values that Greenspace uses. You will find that some of these values may be different from what you’ve seen before. This is because we’re standardizing them to align with reputable sources and published literature. Please do reach out if you have any questions about this change.
  • June 2024: MBC 2.0: Measurement-Based Care Benchmarks Dashboards
    • A new MBC Benchmarks dashboard has been released, designed to empower organizations with another way to interpret and analyze the various metrics they’re collecting. This dashboard offers real-time insights into your organization’s progress in adoption, engagement, and clinical outcomes—and compares these metrics to other organizations' benchmarks to help you identify areas of opportunity and growth. If you’d like to enable this dashboard for your organization, please get in touch with your CSM.
  • June 2024: Integration Engine Contextual Launch and Automated Discharge
    • Contextual Launch will allow clinicians to be linked directly to a Greenspace patient results page from within an EHR. The automated discharge feature was built to save providers time by automatically triggering archive (or clinic/tag unassign events, depending on the scenario) in Greenspace based on discharge events in the EHR.
  • June 2024: 3 to 1-day assessment limit completion
    • We’ve reduced the default limit for assessment completion frequency from 3 days to 1 day (24 hours). On the ‘Manage’ patient page, the “Complete Now” button will become active again one day after each assessment completion, instead of the previous restriction of 3 days. This change will offer more flexibility for therapists to send assessments based on each patient’s schedule and adapt to unique circumstances.
  • June 2024: Improvements to Child Account Consent Flows
    • Allow providers to indicate that consent was provided off the platform to unblock child patients from completing assessments.
  • May 2024: Added Participant Automation to our Integration Engine
    • Organizations using our integration engine can now automatically associate participants with patients in their EHR. The feature also supports participant modification and deletion workflows.
  • May 2024: Improved child patient assessment reminder emails
    • Include masked child patient names in assessment reminder emails. This enhancement improves the experience for participants completing and receiving assessments on behalf of children by including the masked patient’s name in the email, ensuring it is clear who the assessment is being completed for.
  • April 2024: Remote Delivery Enhancement
    • The new remote delivery update allows you to send assessments to clients via email or SMS without needing account creation or Kiosk codes. Clients can still be invited to create an account, but they will be able to complete their assessments even if they have not yet accepted the invitation. This new functionality can help improve engagement for your clients and save time in session
  • April 2024: Suicidality Overview Dashboard
    • Created an optional suicidality dashboard, making accessing suicidality data easier for our partner organizations. To request access to the dashboard, email support@greenspacehealth.com with your name, affiliation, and the purpose for which you intend to use the dashboard. The support team will guide you through accessing the dashboard in your account.
  • March 2024: Ability to change provider noun within the product
    • A new administrative setting allows users to change the reference to “therapist” throughout the product to something more applicable to the customer. The options are: Therapist, Provider, Psychiatrist, Clinician, Counsellor (CA), Counselor (US), Researcher, Psychologist, Nurse, Social Worker, or Case Worker. If you wish to change the noun, don't hesitate to get in touch with support@greenspacehealth.com or your Customer Success Manager.
  • March 2024: PHI Free Dashboard Permissions
    • Clinic Admins can now allow users to see the Greenspace Analytics dashboards with or without PHI in tiles, drill-downs, and downloads.
  • March 2024: Enhanced Tagging for Integrated Organizations
    • Enabled assigning tags based on multiple EHR patient profile fields. We can now assign tags based on multiple patient profile fields for integration engine customers. For example, this feature will allow us to assign assessments within Greenspace based on a patient program AND preferred language in the EHR.
  • March 2024: More Granular Staff Permissions
    • Decoupled Staff Permissions for Patient Info and Therapist List so clinics can share their ability to manage patients with or without the per-therapist view.
  • March 2024: Ability to complete all outstanding deliveries with a single delivery URL
    • This enhancement will allow patients to click on any ‘Complete Assessments’ link in their email and automatically be presented with all outstanding scheduled assessments instead of accessing assessments from each individual email.
  • March 2024: Enhanced Duplicate Detection
    • Duplicate detection now detects duplicate patients across multiple sub-clinics.
  • February 2024: “Remove Client” function via API
    • The remove client function was not previously available via our REST API. API customers previously had to manually remove clients when transferring patients between clinics. Now, our API customers can more seamlessly transfer clients between clinics.
  • January 2024: Patient Results PDF
    • Improved our patient results in PDF, making assessment results easier for clinicians who download the PDF from the app's results page or who consume assessment results via PDF in their EHR.

2023

Q4 2023:

  • Greenspace Analytics: Launch!
    • A milestone in our analytics experience: We now offer all Greenspace admins multiple analytics dashboards focused on their organization’s outcomes and operations.
  • Enhanced MFA
    • Support for two-factor authentication has been released via app-based TOTP devices.

Q3 2023:

  • Patient Profile Configuration Enhancements
    • Clinic admins can now configure which patient profile questions are shown during patient sign-up and which are shown when the patient is logged in. Improved the UI so that it is easier for clinics to see each patient's profile permissions
  • REST API
    • Expanded REST API to support assessment management, including assigning and delivering assessments.

Q2 2023:

  • Patient language localization
    • We now offer a fully translated French patient experience.
  • Customer Support Enhancements
    • Established enhanced customer support tools to respond to customer requests for modifications and operational support more quickly.
  • Analytics (Beta) Updates
    • Added the ability for clinic super admins to set analytic dashboard permissions for their organization and improved load times performance.
  • Therapist User Management
    • Added therapist invite and management, for Clinic admins to seamlessly invite and manage therapist accounts directly on the Greenspace platform, including deactivating team members who have transferred programs, left the organization, or on leave. Easily archive their clients and/or transfer them to another therapist on your team.

Q1 2023:

  • Intake Module
    • Expanded our Intake Module to be available to more partner organization types.
  • Patient Profile configuration
    • Enhanced our Patient Profile configuration experience with a preview option.
  • REST API
    • Expanded REST API capabilities to include support for child patients/participants.
  • Caredove Integration enhancements
    • Enhanced our integration with Caredove’s referral management software to support data transformation and further automation.

2022

  • December 2022: Assessment Questionnaire Improvements
    • Support persisting answers across multiple completions of the same assessment, enhancing the experience for certain assessments designed to track specific dimensions personalized to a patient.
  • December 2022: Expanded Analytics Beta to both Org and Clinic levels
    • Organizations with multiple clinics can now view clinic-level and entire organization data analytics.
  • October 2022: Configurable Intake Forms
    • Offer granular control of the patient profile fields presented to all providers and patients in different parts of the workflow.
  • September 2022: REST API Enhancements
    • Expansion of our REST API capabilities, including access to note attachments, PDF reports, and general performance improvements, will allow partner organizations to integrate with Greenspace more deeply and seamlessly.
  • September 2022: Introducing our new look
    • We’re excited to announce a fresh new look for Greenspace! We’ve launched a brand new website, giving our web app a complete visual makeover. These enhancements are designed to provide you with a more engaging and user-friendly experience.
  • September 2022: Assessment Requests
    • Significant enhancements to our Assessment creation platform allow us to support more requests and assessments for our partner organizations.
  • August 2022: EHR Integrations
    • Support integration with EHR systems using various data exchange methods, including APIs and standard-based integrations via HL7 and FHIR, facilitating automated and bidirectional data exchange to reduce manual burden and enhance the user experience for clinicians. Supported initial use cases, including automated patient creation and results export to EHR.
  • July 2022: Embedded Reporting
    • Updated our data reports and exports to be easier to use and faster to develop, getting our partner organizations the exported data they need more seamlessly.
  • June 2022: SSO
    • Single Sign-On (SSO) capabilities were introduced to enable integration with external identity providers, enhancing security and reducing friction in accessing Greenspace within our partner organizations’ tech ecosystems.
  • May 2022: Analytics (Beta)
    • Introduced new Greenspace Analytics experience (beta), providing a flexible data dashboard for clinics to access relevant clinical insights to help inform programming and organizational decisions.
  • March 2022: eReferral Integration
    • Support integration with eReferral systems such as Caredove, to provide a seamless and automated way to setup register referred patient on Greenspace.
  • March 2022: Duplicate Patient Prevention
    • Prevent duplicate patients by introducing warnings to Greenspace users when creating a duplicate patient with a matching name.
  • February 2022: Custom Note Types
    • Added customizable note types, providing the ability to customize the data structure for Notes.

2021

  • November 2021: Patient List Enhancements
    • Added patient list customization options to enable therapists and admins to filter and search patients on additional fields.
  • October 2021: Patient Management across Stacked Clinics
    • For a stacked clinic organization, improved ability to create patients centrally at the organization level and assign patients to individual clinics or programs.
  • September 2021: Patient Noun Options
    • The Patient noun appears throughout the clinic's platform and email communications. It is set to Patient by default, but there are now several alternative options to choose from if you wish to change the noun across the Greenspace platform to reflect your organization's structure better. The possibilities include Client, Consumer, Service User, Student, or Participant.
  • July 2021: Enable SMS notifications
    • Clinics can now send their patient's assessment notifications and account invites via SMS.
  • July 2021: Enable Custom Tag Ordering
    • Clinics can now order tags any way they like, making patient management smoother; previously, alphabetical was the only option.
  • July 2021 - Note Templates Create useful templates to use throughout your clinic and standardize the way notes are being created
  • June 2021 - Scheduling Assessments for Patients with No Accounts Easily keep track of assessment delivery and completion for patients who don't have an account on the platform.
  • May 2021 - Resources Page for Measurement Patients Provide self-guided resources such as videos and articles to signed-in patients directly on our platform.
  • March 2021 - Sharing notes with patients You can now easily share notes and documents with your patient on the platform. Your patients can view shared notes or download any documents securely without leaving their Greenspace account.
  • March 2021 - Intake Module and Referral Access Point Streamline how new patients access your services with the Intake Module. This makes it easier to capture clinical information at intake and helps better triage and assign new patients. The Referral Access Point makes it easy for primary care providers and other healthcare professionals to refer new patients to your organization, and have referred patients appear directly on your Intake List in Greenspace.
  • February 2021 - Outcome Rating Scale (ORS) and Session Rating Scale (SRS) The popular Outcome Rating Scale (ORS) and Session Rating Scale (SRS) are now available for use on the platform. Please contact us for more information. 

2020

  • December 2020 - Customize Assessment Expiry and Reminder Configure the assessment expiry period and reminder notifications for all automated assessments sent to your patients
  • November 2020 - Session Timeout Customize how long you are inactive for on the Greenspace platform before you are automatically signed out.
  • September 2020 - Upgraded Child Patient account The platform now supports inviting a child or adolescent patient, and any parent, guardian, or teacher participants involved in the child’s treatment. 
  • June 2020 - Custom Kiosk Create a unique, no-expiry code for patients to use with the Assessment Kiosk while remotely in session or in the waiting room.
  • March 2020 - Security Reset Credentials and Email Change Smoother and more secure process around password and security question resets, along with a self serve method to change your own email address.
  • March 2020 - Statistics Dashboard Re-design A new and cleaner design of the Statistics dashboard, including more filtering options to analyze your aggregate data.
  • January 2020 - Patient List Enhancements

    Badges highlighting missed and completed assessments, a flag for suicidal ideation and private mode to hide all non-active patient information.

2019

  • December 2019 - Multiple User Profiles

    Users with more than one profile can sign into one account and toggle between profiles (ie. a therapist and admin, or a therapist with multiple practices)

  • November 2019 - Tailored Notifications

    Set tailored notifications for completed assessments, missed assessments, weekly reports that suit how frequently you'd like to be notified.

  • September 2019 - Custom Delivery Schedule

    Ability to set a unique delivery schedule for each patient's assessments. Ie. Send Mondays at 2:00pm.

  • April 2019 - Account Creation Tags

    Automatic tags that clearly identify whether a patient has completed their account creation.

  • March 2019 - Custom Data Reports

    For Clinics, create a custom monthly (or weekly) report to be automatically delivered to your account.

  • February 2019 - Baseline Assessments

    Baseline assessments available to be completed by patients as soon as they create their account

  • January 2019 Signing Progress Notes 

    ‘Lock’ and electronically sign your progress notes.

  • January 2019 - Therapist Supervision

    Assign progress notes directly to a supervisor for review and electronic signature.

  • January 2019 - Automating Assessment Selection Use tags to automatically assign a group of pre-selected assessments to a patient. 

2018

  • November 2018 - Assessment Kiosk Using the Assessment Kiosk, patients can easily complete assessments on a tablet in the waiting room.
  • August 2018 - Complex Organization Structures Complex organizations can 'stack' multiple layers of Clinic Accounts to support multiple programs and/or locations.
  • July 2018 - Platform Re-Design A brand new design, updating the look and feel of the Greenspace platform.
  • June 2018 - Administrator Roles Clinics can create and permission administrators to support platform use by therapists and patients.
  • April 2018 - Document Storage

    Upload and securely store documents and files within each patient's record.

  • March 2018 - Custom Profile Forms

    Customize the questions asked to patients when creating their account on the platform.
